Obviously you early EV adopters are an extraordinary group of people, and the test drivers of the Flip The Fleet software may even be EVangelists amongst that worthy band. So a survey like this cannot estimate the size of the market opportunity for businesses that convert their fleet to EVs. However, we know that many others are itching to buy EVs and are just waiting until they can afford it, their old car wears out, or the batteries improve. There will also be a lot of others out there that share your values, but simply haven’t thought of switching, or are not well-informed enough yet to realise that the risks are low and the benefits plentiful. The EV market force is bound to grow fast and enjoy a heyday before EVs become mainstream and a normal expectation of consumers.
Again we caution about the statistical reliability of the results – we are just trying out the systems at this stage so we can get your feedback – we’ll repeat the more promising questions next year when we have got a couple of hundred of you EV owners enrolled and driving the project.
